Come learn about the saree, the most recognizable garment worn by Indo-Pak Subcontinent women. THe elegant and highly decorated fabrics have a long history in India and have evolved over the past 4,000 years.
This program explores the many different ways to wear a saree, which varies from region to region. Visitors willl also have the opportunity to try on a saree and vintage sarees will be on display.
The event is open to the public and the demonstration done by Sonali Club of Raleigh.
